Room for Jesus
(Luke 2)

Luke 2:7 ~ And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

On the first Christmas morning there was no room for Jesus in the inn. That first Christmas morning was all about the Christ Child, Jesus being born. Most didn’t even realize the true meaning of that day. Instead people were busy, occupied, and not willing to make room for Jesus. Unfortunately things have not changed much in today’s culture.

Take some time today to make room for Jesus. In this Christmas season, stop, think about, and thank the Lord for what He has done for you.

The greatest gift was given that first Christmas morning. The Bible teaches that God gave eternal life, and that life was in his Son, Jesus.

  1. It’s so easy to get caught up in the busyness of the season to neglect your walk with God. Start every morning in the Bible. It’s easy to spend so much time with family and friends on Christmas that you don’t have time for Jesus.

  2. I work in a public school, and I ask the kids what is Christmas about? Some of the most common answers are Family, Food, Presents, Sharing. They never mention Jesus this gets me so upset, but I understand that they are not Christians they are just going by what they are taught. The sad things most Christians who know the reason for Christmas and we put buying presents over Jesus. I plan to make more room for Jesus this Christmas.
